Laptop Screen Cleaning

My laptop has a few fingerprints and such on it. What would be the best thing to use to clean it off with. I've tried a lint free rag to gently wipe it down but it didn't seem to work. Any ideas as to what would be safe for the screen?

Same here, then i run over it with a dry soft cloth.

I use kensington microfibre wipes and laptop-screen solution. The solution is probably some simple mixture that could be had for pennies ... but considering my screen is worth about $1000 it makes sense to spend the $5.00 on a bottle of solution that'll last 2-3 years.

I usually use Isopropyl Alcohol, but Endust for Electronics works better and doesn't streak.

Never tried Isoprophy Alcohol on my laptop, I had a feeling it may burn away at the screen slightly or something along those lines. May try it now that you mentioned it though as I have like a litre bottle in the fridge outside....

I used Endust for Electronics on my PocketPC, and it seeped under the screen and rendered it useless until the Endust evaporated out... it's not useful for EVERYTHING, but says right on the can that it's OK for a notebook screen.
