CFP hinting that something isn't right?

Today when I was going to go out to the Internet, clicking on Firefox, Comodo Firewall warned about that firefox.exe had been executed before, but a new application, firefox.exe that couldn't be recognized (this most likely stems from that Comodo is not in sync with new Firefox updates, it's not the first time that happens) was going to start. I blocked that request. A little later, I double-clicked on the Firefox shortcut again, it started up fine without any problems. I made a search, yet I couldn't find more than one firefox.exe on the computer.

Another minor issue that happened earlier this day was that the network loaded up much faster than usual. I didn't pay much attention to that, because that maybe occurs "naturally". This happened before the first-mentioned Firefox event, and I had shut down the computer in-between.

Here is how Defense+ stored the event (i.e Firefox) (edit: copy-pasting apparently didn't store the box lines, but I hope you understand it anyways):

2008-04-30 11:57:56 C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Create Process C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

The only recent event I can think of as maybe having some impact is that I before this installed Java Runtime.

Is this something that may points towards that something isn't right, or am I just paranoid?

    Hello Calypze,

Unless some scan done indicates infection, notifications from chronic monitoring softwares like Comodo are really not much more than that. Always difficult to guess what small, or large, changes occurring are again being reported by these, and then determine all of their purposes.

    Thanks for the reply.

I did a scan with the Kaspesky Online Scanner, as well as with Spybot and Super Anti-Spyware, none of them found a thing. So I guess it's ok.

I usually try most security softwares, so know Comodo's requirements for training and updating when changes occur. Once in the business always in the business, I tend to think, so their Trust Toolbar history keeps me shy of doing more than just taking a look at how it works. Good you confirmed no malware issues there.
