Haha, I switched from AVG to NOD32- As far as I'm aware NOD32 is the best antivirus out there, or one of the best. (according to a friend, don't shoot me down if it's not :P)

BTW, harudath what do you think of AVG from NOD32? NOD32 HAS LOTSA OPTIONS! HAS. (like, 5 options, the one is to turn it on, one is to turn it off, one to update, one to log username and pass, and to SCAN)

i really dont know what to use >_____<

AVG user here. Best prevention is not to get infected (be smart about what data you're opening on your PC). For me it's a failsafe... none of the free ones are perfect, but neither are any of the pay versions.

I'm using speedfan for temp and fan monitoring fwiw.

I haven't used AVG in a long time on my own PC's but lately I've been using the family PC so I set it up myself using AVG. It pisses me off that they seemed to have gone to advertising their pro product from time to time with their own pop up. Only had it twice so far but I still don't like that. But it seems to be doing a good job still and it's free which is nice as well.

As mentioned the best AV is to simply not get it, which means not being a dolt and opening everything you can find on the internet. Well, I guess that is not fool proof either though. :p

For temperature monitoring I recommend SpeedFan. The newest release, 4.34 (final) is just as accurate as Core Temp but has a ton more features, including fan monitoring and control, assuming your motherboard supports that.

You should probably post in the Emergency Help forum, your capslock button seems to be broken.
