Woah this is an easy one.

    Quake2
    Tribes
    Quake 3
    Counter Strike (< v1.3)

In that order. As awesome as todays games are - none of them have come close to any of those 4 (including TF2).

Quake 2 and Tribes were just for fun.

I got into competitive gaming with Q3 and CS, played in CAL and at CPL(s).

Todays FPSs just aren't the same :(

Risk. I have played more risk than anyone should be allowed. And when we could not play the actual board game, we played on our computers.

A Tale In The Desert <- Only MMO out there with absolutely no fighting what so ever. I crafted so many things...The hookah helped me out on those long nights ;)

Planetside <- Think CS is addictive? Try this MMOFPS. Now THAT'S alot of time wasted...

I remember playing Final Fantasy VII day and night. Luckily I was just a kid and didn't really have anything more important to do.

These days I usually don't play to much.

Currently: Gears of War & Need for Speed: Most Wanted (XBox 360)

Old School: Any of the Final Fantasy or Zelda games (late 80s)

Circa 2000-2004 Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Far Cry
This is why I have avoided WoW like a plague.

You and I are SOOOOO tracking here..... I don't drink often, don't smoke, can't stand drugs, but I realized from playing other more traditional FPSs and other games that I would have serious problem if I ever opened Pandora's MMORPG Box....

I firmly believe that my avoidance of WoW and other MMORPGs is the sole reason I'm not single, I don't weigh 500 lbs, and I'm not still in the same crappy apartment in Tucson...

I've seen these games RUIN lives with my own eyes... For some (not all) they are as addictive as any drug out there..

I know what you mean. I've stayed up a lot of nights playing Baseball Mogul. It's a good challenge turning the KC Royals into a Juggernaut franchise.

lol. Purplez! What is wrong with you, are you forgeting the mindless hours in from of the computer in eternal lands. I was there with you and its still etched into my brain how many hours on end we sat there and drank ourselves silly with green tea!!! REMEMBER NOW! That could have been your biggest addiction. . . lol. Warning for those who have read this and had the thought cross your mind of looking into this game. Be ready for a steap learning curve and a lot of time lost to family and friends.

    Are you serious....?

Runescape was, and always will be horrid. And it's not just the graphics, no matter how crude they are. It's the players. "I BUY SUM SEX FOR 80K LUL" or "GTFO NOOB U STUPID" or whatever the lifeless 13 year old people say, hoping that their fathers don't come in and see that they're calling people racial slurs, or 'enjoying' something they bought. You cannot be serious about Runescape. I hate MMO's sure, but I'd pay in GOLD to see runescape taken down.
