kanezfan had this to say which console is this on again?
PS1, and dude, ebgames.com is selling it for $65 used! is it rare, or is it just that good?
It's Xenogears by Square for PS1. Original copies for sale are rare because owners tend to cling to their own copies. Couple this with a high demand (because it is that damn good) and you get some pretty high prices. Final Fantasy 3[6] in cartridge form (SNES) can still run you 80 bucks for all the same reasons. When FFIII was released in the US, it originally cost $74.99.
Your best bet is waiting for the greatest hits version to come out, because it'll be very cheap. The original boxes can be found on ebay pretty easily and if you're lucky you can nab it for $35-40.
It's a greatest hits title now so you should be able to get it fairly cheap, albeit in the dorky green greatest hits packaging.
I picked my original copy up at EB for $50, which is standard fare for most Square games. Funny story that, I was looking for a new RPG to play and had no idea what I was holding. My FF3 cartridge was $80 by comparison, but also worth every penny. Of course, the anthology CD with FF6 and FF5 on it was $50, but the FF5 save menu is broken on the PS2 though I can usually fumble through it and save.
