8600GT Red Lines...

Ok so i was playing a game, going all smoothly and BAM! my screen froze, so im like ok happens once in a while. I restart and i see these Red lines made out of boxes going up into the right corner of my screen...

Anyone know how to solve this problem this is really pissing me of.

    Can you boot into Safe Mode? If you don't know what Safe Mode is, let us know.

    What computer are you using. Specifically, what video card do you have?

    Yes i kno what Safe Mode is, my Graphics Card is an XFX 8600 GT

    and by computer is

    HP Pavilion a1730n
    AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4600+
    2.4GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache, 2000MHz System Bus

    4gb ram XFX 8600GT

    Also, how hot is the card running. you can use rivatuner to check.

    what drivers are you running?

    Xfx has a double lifetime warranty. If you register on the website and post your problem in support they will tell you how to RMA. Even if you're the second owner.

    Open the case. Check the card's heatsink. I lost an old Radeon VE back in the day when the heatsink came off. It exhibited similar symptoms before frying.
