It's come as a surprise to many today that the iPhone Application Store opened with over 800 programs available for download in the UK, 25 percent of which are free. Early talk had suggested the possibility of 500 pieces of software, but today the speculation was proved wrong.
The diverse selection of software is available through iTunes 7.7, an there's a little bit of everything. Close to 200 games are available, with another 200 entertainment titles, plus news, social networking, productivity and entertainment products. It's a lot to sift through this early on but may be worth exploring.
