Folding for the wrong team!

Okay one of the computers I have folding 24/7, which runs a XP 2800+, has been folding for the wrong damn team, for jack knows how long, at least for a couple of weeks.

My brother (Lammypie) has a tendancy when he gets in contact with this particular PC (one I built for my mother) to change my folding user name to his! no big deal that, because it's still going towards team#93, but it seems the last time I had to change it back to 'Spinner' I typed in 'spinner', with the 's' lowercase. I presumed this wouldnt' cause any problems because the team number was still #93, so if that user name didn't technicaly exist it would become apparent very quickly.

I noticed the problem when I clicked on 'view user statistics' from that machine, which brought up a 'spinner' on a completely different team.

How did this happen when the team number was still set to #93? Someone want to explain..?

I'm quite cross at myself right now!

:mad2: :bawling: :confused2 :scratch: :banghead: :eek2::mad::mad:

    Sounds like it to me.. I'm pretty sure stats are case sensitive.

    Yeah, I mean contrary to what I said, I did know that, I just wasn't thinking, my main query was why it shifted teams even though the client was setup to #93. Is that because it couldn't find someone at team#93 by that name it decided to allocate it to another spinner in another team? I just find that methodolgy to the system a bit perplexing. Surely it would be much more efficient to just query the user name upon trying to upload a WU to a non-existent name under the specified team in the client config instead of just shipping it off to a completly different team.

    That's what I was curious about. Thanks for the replies though guys.

    I had a feeling that's who you meant. I have a picture of him on my main rig, I'll post it when I get back to Manchester. I've always wondered what happened to him. You said he went off to college or sommit? He was a good guy.

    What was his saying again "One by one, the penguins steal my sanity" (or sommit like that).:p
