I should be more specific. Those are "in" for tryouts. If we have to narrow it to 6 then we don't need to bring in outside peeps. He's a buddy of mine. Worth a tryout at least. If the boss says no outsiders, then no outsiders.
I also just noticed discussion of Age Limits. Probably going to be Minimum 18. I know we have some younger players on here Without going through all the profiles, does that raise a problem for anyone on the list so far?
I'm not sure how to handle our time difference when planning tryouts/practice. Most of yas are 3 hours ahead of me. Even if I rush home after work to start at 5:30 my time, its 8:30 your time. Anyone against 8:30-10:30 EST practice 2-3 times a week on weekdays? Weekends are a different story, I am available from 7:30 EST on Sat and 6:30 EST on Sun.
Another thing I wanted to mention is Backups/Practice squad. If we have our best 6 forward, we need the next best 6 to practice against. That puts us at a 12 man team.
What do you guys think of the idea of whoever ends up coordinator (Me? so far) contacting other teams and put together "Scrimmages"?
Also I ask the Admins if this pans out and we have a team for a sub forum for threads dedicated to each round of each map for strategy planning/discussion.
I'm not sure scrimmages against other teams signed up for the Pro-Am do anything more than let us see what they want us to see and vice versa. Nobody's going to show their best moves, and we're stuck planning against their plan B or C.
I could be wrong, but I don't really see the point. We give away exactly as much or more information than we gain.
Please hold off on those thoughts as I am only going by a forum post and I am not familiar with the forum to know that it is a reliable source yet. I am amazed at the lack of information that CGS is giving.
