    Enverex had this to say

Thats what I was going to do anyway, as the decent cooler is way too expensive and the other ones on NewEgg are just crap anyway.

Al: Ha, yeah, would be a little pointless just buying a heatsink from the US.

Yea, I'm a very lazy person with a fair amount of money so you could probably understand my logic. I'd rather have the heatsink now for $60, then having to go through all the problems of shipping it, working out payment, and whatever regulations there are on shipping international just to save $5 or so.

So I take it I can pretty much scrap this idea then?
As currently NewEgg are raising their prices daily, and if it happens anymore then I won't be able to afford one anyway.

Wait a few months Enverex. If you bought a A64 3000+ S754 now, you'll be kicking yourself in 3 months when the Dual 939 versions arrive.

Also Computer components prices drop after the Xmas season.

A easy upgrade for you would be to replace that KT400 8K9A2+ with the Epox KT600 8KRA2+ to get FSB400. It's a drop in replacment for both the 8K9A2+ & the 8K9A3+ mobos. Just did it myself 2 days ago (with a cloned HD). All you'll need is the Realtek AC650 Sound driver. :)

I am trying to plan for the long term as I no longer have a job, and with this Uni work, don't have time for one, meaning if I buy something else, then I am not going to be upgrading for a LONG time, so I wanted to make it last. Going for a small upgrade is just going to waste it all to be honest.

Also, no way in hell will I be able to afford dual 64s.

The 3000+ is £160 today only at hwb.no. Pretty good price i must say. The cpu's are confirmed the 27:th.

I think Omega meant 939 is dual channel memory, not dual cpu's. Your reply is likely the same, they'll come out xpensive to start.

Actually, they're supposed to come out at a much lower pricepoint because the s939 chips are going to feature much higher yields, and significantly less complex designs.

Argh! What the hell is hwb.no. ??

Though I have been pretty much held back into waiting now anyway, it's just Christmas doesn't seem very special without present(s). I'm not material at all!

www.hwb.no is the store which has them for that price. Great store who's owner started Komplett a few years back.

Eh, its in silly money. Thing is, if I wanted to import, it would be much more effective from the US as it is cheaper to start with and will be alot less if I get hit with import (which I am actually more likely to with norway).
