A7N8X-Deluxe and clock problems

I've got an A7N8x-Deluxe (an older revision, 1.4 maybe) and it has been getting up to 8 minutes ahead on the clock per day. THis is insane, i get up in the morning and think it's time to go then i look at the clock in the kitchen and i've still got tons of time so i synchronize my computer clock and it's back to normal until the next morning. What could be causing it to gain this much time? This just started yesterday morning (Monday) and before that the clock worked perfectly fine never losing or gaining a very large amount of time.

could be a dead/dieing cmos battery.

I went into the BIOS on my NF7-S the other day when win2k wouldn't boot, and the cmos clock was gaining about 1.5 HOURS every 30 seconds. I turned it off, cleared the CMOS, and took the battery out to test the voltage. It was fine (3.03v), and so I dropped it back in. Turned it on, and the problem was gone. Don't know what the hell was wrong, but it stopped, so whatever.

You may try the same thing on your A7N8X.

Bad contact and battery that drops voltage under load are the two leading factors. Just replace the battery and clean the contacts
