So, I'm a bit smitten with Yuna. Is it just me, or is she the perfect girl?

Let's see:
Beautiful Voice
Intense devotion to loved ones
Good aim
Pleasant personality
Nice legs
Goofy sence of humor

Who could ask for anything more?...

other than that she actually exist, I mean...

Therefore, you need to post screenshots.

Hmm... well, after careful and detailed analysis... I've determined that I need to analyze the pictures more throughly before I make a final decision. :D;D

Seriously, no there's nothing wrong with you. (Although Lara Croft is more attractive... ;))

However, for future reference, technically speaking, any fictional babes are supposed to go in this thread:

    http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=784

Which kind of died after I ran out of stuff to post this summer, and haven't had time to get any more...

It's not "wrong", per se... But you set yourself up for disappointment in two ways:

    1) The obvious -- um, yeah, she's not real

    2) Unrealistic expections of real-life women.

:( But also, remember that she was engineered to be some other dude's perfect fantasy girl, so you're not alone. Maybe you can fly to Japan and have a beer with the poor dude and sing karaoke to each other. Japanese men love to cry...... :D

    sing karaoke to each other

*Geeky1 has flashback to Rush Hour 2 Karaoke Bar scene w/Chinese guy singing Michael Jackson's Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough*

Oh God! Make it stop! The horror! The horror!
    ;D

Oh and yeah, prime's right. Expecting to find a real woman that's NOT a back seat driver is an unrealistic expectation... :D

    Hey!

I had a crush on Faye Valentine, still do. All it is... is your subconsious taking the "fake" person and imagining them as REAL. Then of course, the disappointment sets in as you realize that no real life person could ever measure up to what your mind has settled for as the "perfect mate".

Yeah, I am serious too.. This IS the computer age, is it not?:ninja:

    twisted, yes
    wrong, no

Many of us have crushes on unatainable women, it is just that most of them are real. I don't see it as any different than falling for a movie star or someone else that there is no possability of you ever meeting.
The twist is that you know that she isn't even real.

Thing to remember, it is normal to use fantasy to build up an ideal at first, then you get the compromise problem in reality. And ideals are personal, so being different is normal. Normal is NOT average, if it were we would be bored to death. Normal allows for dreaming, and we each actually fit differently in everything.

DIFFERENT, in detail, is normal. Think of normal as more a what predominates concept and not a mean in all ways concept.

So did anything actually come up in the Yahoo! Personals? Now ya got me curious. Just don't know how many girls would put "like Yuna" in their profilethough. heh heh.

Oh and I don't see anything wrong with it. I mean it isn't hurting anyone and if it makes ya happy go with it.

Well that's a bummer. On the upside you can look at it this way. When they creators of FFX were designing characters they might have based Yuna off of a real girl. Ya never know, there could be a real life Yuna out there. Look at it that way and maybe your hopes aren't totally false.

I think my girl has everything but nice aim... I need to see how she does with a gun.

She makes me laugh, makes me happy, she's a complete goof when she wants to be, astoundingly intelligent when she wants to be, she's been a member of a choir all her life and sounds wonderous... And yeah. She's got nice, long legs. Heh.

Most japanese people learn how to speak English. I'm sure there are plenty of Yuna look-alikes in Japan. Rikku I would be even more sure of.

Square strove for realism in their character design big time with FFX.

I wasen't thinking of just a look-a-like... did you see my list of traits above?

Only one of the seven was physical, and that was frankly the second least important of the six.

I don't think its wrong. or twisted. Yuna is a very nice girl, i admit, and so is tifa, but lulu isn't that bad either i think. anyway..has anybody ever played Timeplitters 3? now in that their is a character, called Jo-Beth Casey, now she i my sort of ideal woman. A great body, nice legs, good with a gun lol, but most of all, a great personality. anyway...

He is right about videogame characters sometimes being based on real life counterparts. For instance, Squall, from Final Fantasy VIII (8), is based on a japanese jrock singer called Gackt Camui. Here is a pic:

For some reason I'm reminded of this from Red Dwarf:
Lister: “Do you think Wilma Flintstones sexy? Maybe we’ve been in deep space too long, but every time I see her on that show that body drives me crazy. Is it me?”

Cat: “I think, in all probability, that Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable woman who ever lived.”

Lister: “That’s good. I thought I was going strange.”

    Cat: “She’s incredible.”

    Lister: “Whad’ya think of Betty?”

Cat: “Betty Rubble? Well….I would go with Betty….But I’d be thinking of Wilma.”

Lister: “This is crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?”

Cat: “You’re right. We’re nuts. This is an insane conversation”

Lister: “She’d never leave Fred and we know it.”
