The product spec page says they're 330w, but the model number they give is for a 350w PS. These are EG-351P-VE PSes, which I've used before without a problem. They work very well, IMO, and should be more than sufficient for all but the most loaded/heavily overclocked systems.

    FYI,

Shipping seems to be $7.28 for Ground and $15.12 for Three-Day. With standard shipping your power supply is 27.23.

Newegg doesn't have that model, they have a different 350W for 44.95. Is this an older one?

Here are some reviews based on the model number on the site. This actually looks like a good deal. I'm jumping on this.

Probably... they're an electronic surplus place, I believe, so...

    http://www.hardwareseeker.com/products/EG351PVE/

And my mistake, it is in fact, a 330w PS. It's 350w peak.

Regardless, it's big enough for most normal systems. I've got a CAD/CAM machine at work, which is a 1.4GHz TBird, a GeForce3, 512mb of ddr, a 40gb hard drive, a CD, a Zip, and 2 case fans, that runs off of a 250w Antec.

The TBird uses more power than any other AMD cpu, so...

And, our newer CAD machines, including 2800s with Radeon 9800 Pros, 1GB of DDR, CDs, Zips, and 80GB+ hard drives, run 350w Antecs.

I've run my dual processor system (2 2500s, 1GB DDR, Radeon 8500, 4 160GB hard drives, etc.) off of a 400w Antec. 330-350w is more than enough for most computers.

In fact, I've got an APC BackUPS 1000XL UPS on the server at Habitat For Humanity. That server folds 24/7, it's an 1800+ with 512MB of RAM, a GeForce2MX, and 2 80GB hard drives (plus a CD and stuff). According to APC's software, even with an ancient 15" monitor that draws probably 75w+ itself, under full load, the whole thing is only pulling like 210w. So a quality 300w+ PS is more than sufficient for most computers.

I agree, as long as it is a good brand PS, more wattage doesn't mean a better PS. I'd rather have a 330w Enermax than a 600W CompUSA.

By the way, I just ordered one of these bad boys (I am expecting a generic 300W PS I have to die any day).

I'll let you know how it goes. This is a good deal, youd be spending a lot more from

I wouldn't recommend saying that. Thrax might just murder you, or worse yet declare jihad on you and your family.:vimp:

Based on the CompUSA statement? Or the wattage statement?

If I have a standard computer not for gaming, what would you rather put into it? A 600W compusa job like this or the Enermax mentioned in this thread?

Hey I'm not preaching that CompUSA psu's are quality. I don't buy relatively off brand psu's. My main rig runs off an Enermax 651W psu, but all I'm saying is if you start bashing CompUSA psus thrax will definetly declare jihad, whether it be right or wrong. Just forewarning.

Thrax is the resident compUSA PS supporter. He's apparently had no problems with them. I'm reserving judgement until I get my hands on one to test.

My hatred for CompUSA power supplies is based on expierence. I had one in the past and it was utter trash. Unstable system, and the thing was VERY hot to the touch due to poor venting and crappy airflow. You would think a 600W PS would have better cooling in mind.
