    Just wanted to update that I haven't had the chance to begin any of this. A million things have come up. Once I try these out, I will give a final update. Thanks again.

    Ok... cleaned out the hard drive and it was filthy full of dust and dog hair.. BUT it did not help.

    So I just did the recovery and restored back to factory settings.

    A few things... can you help me get this updated and also remove the misc. crap from it?

    And I noticed that my mouse is still acting weird, like it was before the crash. When I scroll with the wheel on a web page it goes up and down by itself... any idea on this?

    Also... the recommendations you gave me for free security software... do I install both of those?
