I'm currently rocking the 8k3a+, 512mb of pc2700 and an Audigy 2...along with assorted other (unimportant to this conversation) things. I'm looking at buying an nf7-s, but I would need to sell my current board and the Audigy. Do you think:

a) That I could sell the 8k3a+ and the Audigy 2 for a large portion of the cost of the nf-7?
b) The upgrade would be worth it? I'd prolly have to get some new ram to really take advantage of the nf7, right?

Your real world speed gains are going to be very minimal, ~5-10% at best or less depending on which application. Nforce2 runs best sync RAM:fsb so ya, your PC2700 prolly would hold you back, negating some of the gain you might otherwise see from a slightly higher cpu overclock. In your shoes, with limited (sounding) budget, I'd wait 3-4 months see what shakes out with the next generation. 2100MHz is a fine fast AMD system, you're not going to be able to run anything you have problems with now just by changing mobos. My 2cents worth.

I'm with Keto on this and feel that the only way you will see a real difference is if you can afford to get some new RAM as well. That way you can at least increase your FSB to where it is more effective and everything will benefeit. Otherwise you should just keep it the way it is.
