I AM excited about Vista. It had a lot of nice features I liked, and I thought it was a really nice OS. However, I didn't like the fact that some of my games/programs stopped working or worked badly. I didn't like the performance-hogging either, but that may have changed the last year, and probably wont be an issue with this rig?

I'm running vista on a laptop with a dual core AMD CPU and 3GB DDR2. I think it's plenty fast, although I haven't tried anything particularly demanding on the laptop. I don't know what Vista is like with less RAM. Also, I have no experience running Vista without Service Pack 1.
