Yep, wish we had this type of competition between AMD's processors and Intel.
Usually means lower prices for older cards so ya, +1 from me too. Also, I thought we did have this type of competition until Intel came out with the C2Ds. C'mon AMD, get back in there. :[

Newer cards. Imagine what a 4870X2 would cost without the 280 nipping at its heals, or vice versa. The 280 was close to $600 when it first came out. Within two weeks of AMD launching the ATI 4870X2, the 280's price was cut in half.
