Icrontic Winter Blast Weekend 2009

Completely independent of one another, three things happened recently:
  • TequilaSunrise announced her intentions of getting a local shinding together. She thinks it's been too long since we've all hung out. "We" being Deana, Jeff, Kati, Pseudonym, -tk, Lou, Scotty, Thrax, etc... The locals. Her date? The 23rd of January.
  • Lynx PMed us: "Hey guys guess what. Time off work means I'm coming to visit. How's the weekend of the 23rd sound?"
  • Pragtastic PMed us: "Hey guys, I'mma be in Detroit for a thing on the weekend of the 23rd. Mind if I crash / party?"


You see a pattern here. When the cosmos swirls together as such - things happen. Therefore, we dub the weekend of January 23rd, 2009 the first official ICHQ Winter Blast.

    I'm probably bringing my PC along. If I'm over there for 3 days, I'll need to do some work, probably animation primarily since the deadline for a cut of our short is the end of this month.

    Not to mention that gaming thing too.

    For the record, I have to work Saturday at 5pm. So I'll leave Saturday afternoon.

    I'm planning on being at ICHQ thursday and Friday, and maybe part of wed.

    I was given wed-friday off, but work as normal sat. and sunday

    So I guess the earlier people can get there the better since I have to make tracks Saturday.

    Still haven't made up my mind if I'm going up on wed or early thursday.

    Fatcat's event post made me all nostalgic over some of these older events.

    This first Winterblast was my first time trying a really hoppy beer (some sort of K-brew IPA). Prag and Linc insisted I get one, because they were having copious. It tasted like an evergreen tree.

    I also recall Prag having difficulty walking upon leaving.
