Odd twist of events... I put in the new CPU and 2 sticks of memory and the system booted. but when I tried to open a program the system froze up. When I reset the system it would not post again :(

RMA the ram, if the new board doesn't change anything.

I also got word from a new friend at AMD who sent over my issue to their Performance Lab. They also said the new bios 1402 from ASUS should possibly make it work. In general I have a ton of testing to do tonight.
AGESA 3.3.1.0 – the absolute *minimum* AGESA version needed for Phenom II

RMA has been sent in.... :( I installed the new Mobo today and tested the system with both CPU's and ran memtest86+ again and finally got it showing massive errors on one of the memory sticks. Hopefully the new memory will work out better.
