Excuse... come work at my company. The scientists wear that kind of stuff in the Chicago winter... along with their black socks and saddles. :rolleyes2
Seriously, most golf course will no allow spectators. The usually require you to have clubs and pay even if you plan to just watch. But if you want to travel with us and enjoy some exercise, sun, grass, trees, and a generally good time, I am in favor of you coming with.

Actually, I'm honestly interested in trying to play golf with you guys. How tolerant would you be with someone completely new to the grown-up version of the game? How tolerant are courses?
I am completely tolerant (especially if it gets you on the course )
The golf course does not care how good/bad/completely terrible you are, as long as you have clubs and pay your monies.
If the group(s) are playing too slow, you can get asked to pick up the pace, but if you are courteous to other players and let them through if necessary.. I have NEVER found it to be an issue in the cough20+cough years I have been playing.
Ryder, CB, and I were a team and I think only Ryder was the only really experienced... Best Ball brings out the best. I'm willing to help with your game, Annes & Fluff.
what a gentleman! but i'm sure between Annes and i we can figure it out... or at least she can. she's the brains of this operation. who am i kidding, she's the brains and the beauty. i'm the sidekick.

Depending on space in Fatcat's car, my clubs may be traveling with him. If not, I will need a set. I'll bring my awesome balls and maybe even share them you all.

I'll make sure there is room for your clubs Q. Now getting them back to chicago might be a problem. But we can work it out with TT.
Like Ryder said. You have to pay and have your own/rent clubs to be on the course.
I highly suggest both of you ladies at least go to a driving range and get a "feel" for using a golf club and hitting the balls prior if possible.
Hmm... I was a bit on the fence about EpIC this year, but I think I'm going to have to put in a tentative bid for a golf spot.
I love best-ball scrambles, particularly since about 1 out of 50 of my shots are truly stellar, so I can let the other people pick up the rest of the slack.
As soon as we get details about pricing, etc, I'll be able to confirm.
i was considering bringing clubs, but i dunno if my ride packs like a girl, and i plan on taking up valuable trunk space with beers. so renting sounds like the way to go.

really i'm just looking for an excuse to wear ugly shorts and a silly hat. is there drinking involved on this outing?

Last year fatcat and myself went through a full bottle of Canadian Mist. Then we switched to beer.
To no surprise our game got increasingly better as the day went on.
Oh and something I learned from last year's golf outting: Greg has eagle eye jason bourne vision. Ask him about it hahaha

I think I have at least 3 cases and don't golf as much as I use to.
