I am contemplating building a Core i7 system but find the cost of the X58 motherboards a bit over the top. But here is an MSI X58 board for under $200: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130221
The question is, what do these $350 X58 boards do that can't be done just as well by this $189 MSI board? What is missing that REALLY matters?

Voltage control, superior components, a more advanced BIOS, and more power phases.

Most, or all of which is a big yawner unless you plan on heavy duty overclocking.
