well I noticed that when I open other programs like Steam or GTA San Andreas, it will also freeze. But for about 20 seconds I can still move my cursor around, then that will eventually freeze as well. Right before this I plugged in a different video card to see what specs it had. Windows searched and found the drives for the 7300LE and installed them. After I found out, I just took it out and replaced my 8800GT. I dont know if that is cuasing the problem. Im going to try and update my 8800gt drivers now
EDIT
I think that fixed it. I can now use my wireless and open steam and GTA.
Yeah that could definitely have caused the problem.
In the future if you want to ID hardware. I suggest you don't boot up into your core OS. Instead, get a copy of Ubuntu Live. Boot up into that and check the hardware specs. That way it won't try and reconfigure all your drivers in your native OS.
