    No doubt the leaks are approved. Microsoft has found starting with the official beta version that every "leak" has generated more positive buzz for Windows 7 - quite an improvement over Vista's reception. These "leaks" have probably led to more future sales of 7 than anything else could have.

    No doubt the leaks are approved.
    Almost all software leaks on the Internet are approved by the original software maker, albeit unofficially. It's just one of the ways test the waters, but without attribution.
