Possibly the Greatest Case Mod/Design ever!!

edited January 2004 in Science & Tech
I saw this link over at [link=www.hardocp.com]Hard|OCP[/link]....

[blockquote]It's all built in anticorodal aluminum, and it's worked all with CNC router machines (numeric control) from "blocks" of aluminum. There's no "folding" (sorry i'm not so good in English.. :) or welding of the material, the case is all modular and can be put together like the plexiglass case kits.[/blockquote]

You've got to see the pics of how this case is put together!

Looks quite good, but also kind of silly at the same time. The 3 5 1/4in bays are a problem for me as I normally need at least 4....

Is it me, or are there no 3 1/2" bays?

    There are none.

Who the hell needs those anyways?

I don't see any on the inside, although I do see that they use a converter to use one on one of the 5 1/4in bays, which then reduces the amount of those to 2, which makes it really useless...

I still need a floppy drive for some things, normally at the point where a USB floppy drive wouldn't help. Plus I need somewhere for my Zip drive too.

These days I only use a FD when installing XP (If then)

    Internal 3.5" Drive bays [link=http://modding.hwupgrade.it/articoli/41/5.html]page 5[/link]

Er..... Internal 3.5" bays are for Hard-Drives, supprisingly you can't put floppy drives and such in them else you couldn't actually get to them. So my point still stands.

Your point wasn't contested. (although you did say you didn't see any 3.5" bays inside...)

If you need a FD, you need a FD Bay or an 5.25"/3.5"adapter. Nothing is perfect for everyone

    I love this case myself

Upon seeing the inside, the cooling has gotta be pretty crappy. Not awful, certainly, but it could be improved. The sketches I was drawing in lit of a cube case last year had 4 of those Rotron 6.75" fans, plus some 80mm fans and stuff

Maybe a cube case for next housing purchase?
