Actually, I've been hearing on NPR money-type shows, like Marketplace, that movie theaters, and movies in general have been doing great business in this downturn, and that that's normal, as people stop going on vacations and other more expensive luxury things, they go to movies instead.

Yeah, and since Pandora is the exact equivalent of an outsized Earth Jungle it's just like taking a vacation here on Earth!

Indeed, there would be no difference at all as long as the travel business was run by Native Americans who paint themselves blue and greet you with terribly stilted dialogue read off cue cards whenever you walk past.

I see you..........walking up to this bar, would you like a martini?

It also has 33.747 rads of air. Be careful around that stuff.

My favorite thing about this thread (which I re-read completely) overall is @_k's thorough and complete derail by posting a screenshot of porn parody names.

Mine is knowing a ticket for 3D used to be less than a matinee showing currently is.

LOL. $10.50 for a 3D Ticket. It was almost $20 for an IMAX 3D ticket for Endgame. That's why I just paid 21.95 instead to join the AMC A+ club for a month.

When I worked at my local theater back in 2004-ish, our matinee shows were $5.50. Yeesh.

Local theater here does $5 Tuesdays still. It's usually packed.
