Glad to see a new update... Now that I am running Nvidia again, it is also nice to not have a system that crashes.

There is a CUDA update, 3.0.

Actually that was introduced a few months ago in forceware 195.

If you use Rivatuner (or a derivative like Precision) for overclocking, this driver breaks them.

What as in they will not work with the driver or the program crashes?

You can't overclock anymore, specifically you can't change the shader clock speed.

From 182.08:tim: to 196.21 my vantage score went up to 12139:D

Precision works fine with these drivers, its only lacking the shader clock... and fwiw, overclocking shaders hasn't been very stable since 191 anyway.....

Unless you have some updated version of precision other than v1.9.0 it's not working with 196.21

Are you overclocking shaders? That's a must for me. Shaders are the most important factor in GPU Folding@Home, MUCH more important than core clock speed. Memory speed is almost irrelevant. So Sledge, which video card tweaker are you using?

This driver disables overclocking with Rivatuner and Precision because of a bug in the driver according to Unwinder as I read at Rivatuner forum. I would expect a new Nvidia driver shortly after this, more likely another beta like 195.81.

Sort of irrelevant, as NVIDIA released fixed drivers 8 days later: http://tech.icrontic.com/news/nvidia-gpu-driver-196-34-released/
