For my Gigabyte northbridge fan that crapped out after a whole 6 months. Gigabyte was less than helpfull suggesting that I send in the whole motherboard taking around 2 to 3 weeks instead of them just sending me a replacement fan. Thanks guys, I'll be sure to recommend your product again
Anyways, the guys at Bigfoot Computers were kind enough to send my order out that had a Zalman passive northbridge heatsink and a Zalman 6 channel fan controller(which I also love).
Installation of the heatsink was a breeze, just adjust the arms so that it properly reaches the mounting holes, put a nice layer of AS3 on there and clip the push pins on through the board.. Although I didn't want to remove the mobo so I could properly remove the old one by squeezing the back of the pins, a pair of wire cutters removed the ends and I just pulled the pin through that way.
The heatsink is still cool to the touch, and I suspect it will be even cooler come spring when I get to mount the extra fans in the door of the case to help cool the cpu and gpu.

Mmm, passive cooled northbridge goodness.

Looks good man. I wish that all the mobo makers would use the hole style NB mounts instead of the hoops like so many of the Intel setups have nowadays.
I'd like to put a waterblock on my northbridge but those hoops make things more difficult than is really necessary.

Um, copper HS, RED DIMM sockets, Red PCB, NICE! Makes thing jump out, and the mobo itself slides into the background... :D

Are the DIMM sockets made of polycarb? Because if they are, make sure you don't let your RAM run too hot otherwise you might melt the sockets. Also, it's good to see you using a 40-wire cable in there. I wouldn't want you to tarnish the copper on the heatsink. 80-wire cables will do that, you know.

Really? I didn't know that running my cdrom drives off a 40 wire cable was bad. Maybe I should change those out tomorrow.
