Dan Hesse is currently one of my favorite people in the world.

Anyone whose mission is to make the cellular service experience suck less (and consequently, drawing both customers and profits) is A-OK in my book.

This is so awesome that I fully expected "JK, April Fools" at the end of the article. Kudos to you Sprint, Kudos.

I emailed my contact at Sprint to see if it's legit.

Yes, it's legitimate. You can perform the return now on the Sprint site.

Icrontic is not posting BS stories today, and is thoroughly investigating anything that we do post.

//EDIT: It was announced on March 31, as stated.

Wait... how do you refund a restocking fee? I thought restocking fees were a fee that was charged when you returned the item. Do you have to pay the restocking fee when you make the return then they refund it to you later or what?

I think it was more meant that the restocking fee is waived if you return within the 30-day window.
