At least Kanez told me his IP.
The PAGE WORKS, it gets their IP and browser, it just says it is down because it needs to say something so it doesn't look obvious.
TheSmJ: The site just says "Down for maintenance" in plain text. THAT IS IT. THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE.
My name is not NightShade, and I expected people to have enough sense and restraint to not click the link. Apparently people here aren't capable of that.
Next time I will tell people not to shoot themselves, that could be ammusing.
I didn't have time to PM, especially with all this farting about that vb3 has added.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand.
It's more precise now so I can check if its not the write person easier, and it outputs something like this -

It does a tracert as the person hits the page, so it will get the hostname anything else in the process.
It's basic human psychology, Envie..... "Don't push this huge red button, under any circumstances"... or "You can have anything in the entire cave except for the lamp" or "You can go in any door in the whole castle, except for THIS ONE...."
My laptop was stolen, and when the thief turned it on a day later, my AIM sn signed on. I think aim keeps access logs, but when I called tech support, they shot me down. Does anyone have any idea how I could get that? I tried a simple link on my apache server so I could log his IP if he clicked on it (a gaim buddy pounce, sends a message when he signs on). No luck. Access logs would be great. Any ideas?

Otherwise you'll get a log FULL of bogus IPs.
