Sorry if I am jumping the gun creating this thread but I missed getting in on MTG by not coming on the site for 48 hours, I'll be damned if I don't have a place to rest my head:shakehead

Based on last years threads, this can be the discussion/planning thread and an admin can post the Official Lodging Thread as arrangements are worked out.

As I am coming from California, I would like to minimize what I have to bring. I can ship a little one man tent with my rig, but it would be easier not to.

I don't plan on spending much time in the tent other then a couple hours of sleep at night. Anyone going to have an extra spot for an EPIC virgin?

    The lady and I are planning on tenting - we'll either be bringing a tent or trying to split one with someone else who is bringing one...

    my 4-man tent is at ICHQ. half of it is reserved for pragtastic and annes, the other half for whoever they decide. Alidra and I will be bringing a 2-man for ourselves. whether we use it or stay at her parents house hasn't been decided.

    usually Matt General Keebler Lincoln Russell and I plot out a tent map once we have a count of the tents and who needs to sleep in them.

    I will be tenting with at least one other. Right now we are talking about bringing a single room 4-man since we might have a third from Texas.

    The space formerly occupied by Tent Sexytimes is now a garden, and as such is unavailable for tenting.

    I dig the hotel idea. We need to figure out a count of people who want to stay in the hotel and try to get a group discount or something.

    I believe there is still some room for tents, not everyone will need to stay at a hotel.

    Cannonfodder has a six-man tent that he and I probably use instead of Tent Relic, so we have extra room.

    And the basement, right? and no one is allowed to sleep on the floor of the living-room...

    Only about half of the attendees will be able to actually sleep at your house, I think. Maybe fewer. That's why I went ahead and planned on a hotel

    So I have a tent that will fit 3 or 4 comfortably (depending on how friendly the other two are). I can bring that, or I can try to find an appropriately sized tent for two.

    I would estimate 6-8 in the basement and 6-8 upstairs. We inevitably see 4 or so crash on the main floor. We comfortably fit ~18 in the backyard last year with plenty of extra room. I don't foresee fitting significantly fewer people into the backyard despite the garden; I could probably fit more.

    We lowered the cost of the ticket for those staying in a hotel as an incentive to stay off site, and I think it's working precisely as anticipated. I have no intention of turning people away who wish to stay @ ICHQ.

    tent sexytimes is 11x9 i believe, and my tent i'm bringing is the normal dome 3 person really only fits two tent style.

    Bobby, you're welcome in tent Cornfed.

    I'll post back tonight with dimensions. best bet would be along a fence or something, its a big dome style tent with two extra wings out the side for more people.
