    The whole community's hoping it's in FroYo. I'm not getting my hopes up, for now. I'm happy enough rooted.

    It sounds like something that will be available via the market, rather than rolled in to the base ROM, which seems to be the way they're trying to go with a lot of things in FroYo

    Apps2SD is the only thing that made my G1 actually usable, so I am glad to see it get some official support.

    Apps2SD was great on my G1. Now that they're packing devices full of quite a bit more memory though it somehow seems less useful... I mean, I have nearly 90M of app space free still.

    Though I guess this would be good for developing more expansive games....

    Oh look, I just convinced myself that this is still useful.

    Will this feature ever come on Android 2.1 devices ? My phone manufacturer say they havent got any updates planned so I want to be able to make the most of my phone while its still on 2.1

    No. The feature was added in Android 2.2+.
