Dario aka LiquidTLO managed to raise $2487.97 during his 24hr marathon off of his commercial revenue alone. On top of that many off his fans made a direct contribution to Doctors Without Borders so the grand total he raised isn't known.
All in all it is impressive what how much a community can do in such a short time. I'll be excited to see if this happens more in the future. It will certainly lend credence to E-sports and the video game community in general.
I feel that if it's gonna cost energy again it should at least do AoE something Terran desperately lacks outside of Seiged Tanks. I'm not counting EMP because it only hurts Protoss shields and doesn't physically do any other damage.

The last thing terran needs is more AOE.
EMP is so good, btw. Without sentry energy, colossi are much more vulnerable, and you can get out of the colossi splash. Without storm, templar are slow dudes that have a trail behind them.
Also you don't think 100 insta-damage to a radius is good?

long story short, we'll take this theorycraft too far and end up discussing racial balance, rather than actually discussing the fact that the units fulfill two different roles.
edit - roach burrow micro is pretty hard to do. There's a fair amount of latency, rather than blink micro which is basically instant.
