Virus!?

On a PC I recently, built, I installed the free version of AVG since my license for NAV doesn't cover the person using that PC. AVG real-time scanner keeps flagging a virus, with the message that it's some worm virus in the following file:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore{343C148A-02F1-42C5-8E41-5832DEA213F3}\RP4\A0004306.exe
And it tells me to run a scan with AVG to remove it.

However, there's no such directory as System Volume Information, a full scan with AVG finds no viruses, and if I search for A0004306.exe, no such file is found on the PC. Yet the message keeps popping up with AVG real-time scan.

What's going on here, and how do I fix it?

Thanks!

System Volume Information is only accessible by System. You'll have to change your folder options to view hidden and system files and then change the permissions on the folder to allow yourself access to it.

    1) Disable System Restore (This will delete all restore points)

    2) Scan again - you'll probably be clean now

    3) Re-enable System Restore and set a new restore point

This is one of the common bugaboos with System Restore - it backs up your virus too! :rolleyes2
