Music library renaming, sorting, and tagging software?

I'm looking for some sort of software to help me tag, sort, rename, and weed out duplicates, from my entire music library of nearly 40,000 songs so that everything is uniform. Is there anything out there that can do all this? I'm using Ampache now with my Pre and I need to have everything in a UTF-8 friendly format. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use a program called Tag & Rename. It's not free, but it is feature-packed, and will tag MP3s in UT8.

tried picard on a few artists. maybe i just have no clue what im doing with it but it seems like a pain in the rear to use and its leaving a lot untagged. i might try tag and rename out tomorrow if they offer a trial. hopefully ill get a few more suggestions of apps to try out.

I like The Godfather. I don't know if it's being developed anymore (and it can be kind of hard to find the download, I tracked it down for you though: http://www.jtclipper.eu/thegodfather/) but the program is great for tagging/renaming/etc. It can be a bit intimidating to learn to use at first though.

For linux I like using EasyTag
