    You can if there is a source block down there. And from what I have seen it will still cause a flowing animation at the top of that column of blocks.

    Boo for fences not keeping spiders out. Kind of negates the purpose of a fence. Mobs blocking railway sucks.

    Need Moar Overhang.

    sounds like 3 high 1 out would work. Would take some testing. I'll hop on to re-optimize the spider grinder tonight and note behaviors while I'm at it.

    ^^^This, I forgot I stumbled across that also. Spiders can not climb Sandstone.

    Also if you pull water blocks from below the surface, you can create an underwater flowing effect, which can make it very difficult to swim.

    Is this water thing something that changed only in SMP? I've been playing SSP the past two days and not had any problems with water.

    Today it looks like infinite springs are working in large bodies of water, have not tested in a 2x2 yet
