Ooooh, nothing like 119 cfm of hairdryer on a SP-97. So far 34 C full load on my 3000+ w/ no break in!!! Time to go buy a fan controller :) It doesn't hurt when its as big as McBain's head either :)

Is that a 92mm Vantec Tornado. I have one of those suckers and it is loud as hell , but they cool like a mofo. I left my window open the other day and had the side of my case off. It got down to 25*C folding a gromac :) Average's out about 40-45 when I have the side on.

The 92mm Tornado doesn't work as well on the SLK series as say, an 80mm tornado would.

Yeah thats what I thought when I got mine. I have thought about making some type of shroud to funnel all the air thru the fins. Should lower temps quite a bit.

mmonnin, you were right. I finished testing my blower setup, and comparing it to various other fans, but I haven't had time to write up the results. But I did find that the 92mm tornado doesn't perform as well as it should.

Yeah, the screw is tightened now. That was just us fooling around.

I forgot about that fact that the 92mm weren't as good at cooling as the 80mm. Doh, wish I'd remembered that.

Does that apply to all 92mm vs 80mm ??

Someone should really try one of these!

I think it actually did apply to all 92mm, but I can't seem to remember who did the test on it.

Hmm, I'll have to try that out. I have a standard 92mm sunon on it now.
