Leoville F@H Team

edited January 2004 in Folding@Home
It looks like fans of Leo Laporte, from TechTV, have formed a new folding at home team. They are adding people really fast too. I tried to stop by their forums to wish them good luck from us but it looks like they are way too chaotic and unorganized in their forums to not get lost in the mix there. I think they will be a team to watch as they are adding members really quick. If Leo gives their team a plug on the tv show it probably will increase it even more. I think they may be a team to watch in the future.

That's great news for the project. TV is an awesome way to get the project more well known.

Excellent! If only we could get more mass-media, that would be fantastic for the project!

Well, that's good to know. I just wish the person these people are fans of wasn't such a moron.

I was thinking that we could use some type of advertising to get a fresh influx of people to join our team. You can't beat a place like TechTV to get the most out of advertising for a team under the guise of "information" on the stanford project. From what I could see on the forums it looks like most have no idea of how to tweak F@H or how to get the best performance to boost their production. If they ever do air a segment on F@H featuring their team they will have an enormous bump in production just by the sheer numbers of people that will be flocking to it. I was thinking that we could try to do something for advertising but haven't quite come with that magical idea that would get the people interested and on this team versus another. Any thoughts on this one?
