Quick backup/ROM Manager question

The general idea of switching ROMs quickly would be:
1) Backup with Titanium Backup
2) Wipe data/cache/dalvik cache from CWR
3) Install new ROM from CWR
4) Boot into new ROM, store data from backup

Does that sound right? Potential pitfalls? General advice? Weather expectations?

You should add a full backup from recovery just in case things go south. Also, if you're switching ROMs from different dev, do a full wipe.

If going from one version of a ROM to a newer version of the same ROM:
    1) Nandroid backup
    2) Wipe cache/dalvik
    3) Flash update

If going from one ROM to an entirely different one:
    1) Titanium backup apps/data
    2) Nandroid backup
    3) Wipe data/cache/dalvik
    4) Flash update

Thanks! Those two were exactly what I needed. Trying out different ROM from a new dev and wanted to know what to expect. If I don't like it, I can just restore from full backup done under CWR to get back to prior state? (more of a "right?" question, per reading on nandroid etc)

A nandroid backup is a 1:1 image of your Android install at the time it was made. Every piece of data, every setting and app will be perfectly restored.

In other words, you're never more than ~5 minutes away from putting your phone back to exactly the way it was. :)

You may want to throw in an occasional "wipe battery stats" step if you switch ROMs entirely, particularly if you notice what seems like your battery draining faster (or significantly slower) than usual.

Worked perfectly. Tried out new ROM (Virtuous Unity 1.31.0 Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid xda thread), found it meh (probably just used to CM7 already), restoring to CM7 as we speak.
