Bah. Online purchase goes to Circuit City - US only shipping. Canadian retailers BestBuy (not related except in name only to US BestBuy) and Future Shop don't have em yet. Even the Circuit City link says not available online. (**EDIT that was for the 6807 only, 6805 is avail @ CC). Looks like I may go shopping while in Biloxi in April.

******EDIT WHOA Circuit City showing $250 rebate on the 6805 for a net of $1299!!@!! Mistake? If not, I want to buy one, ship it to someone, have it shipped to me. Prime? **EDIT AGAIN it's gotta be a mistake, e-mach show $100 and I bet it's them supplying the rebate - unless CC is topping it up for some reason.

**Last Edit I hope. Why PC2700? Should it not be running on PC3200?

PC3200 SODIMMs are damn hard to get. You can purchase some from www.powernotebooks.com or www.pctorque.com , I think, since they sell Sager notebooks, which are coming with PC3200 now.

I think the old man is right. Turn this thing around.

I noticed that the 6807 has a WXGA, and comparing it to Dell Inspiron 8600, I see that I can get an SWXGA+ there.

Is there a noticeable difference? I doubt if the difference is for computing applications, maybe for DVD watching?

I am really sold on the 6807, except for the resolution and the weight. Is the travel weight of 8.5 lbs bearable - anyone own this baby?

I traveled with a very light notebook - a dell inspiron 600M, and it was STILL a huge pain carting that thing around the airport and walking so much with it. I can't imagine lugging an 8.5 lb beast around for that long.
