Is this an unlocked 2500?

Next friday I will finally be placing my order for a 2500xp 2 raptors for raid 0 and 1 gig of 3200 mem. all to go on a asus a7n8x delux I already have.

    I don't know about the 2500, but let us know how the aerocool works out. I've got a couple of DP-101s for my dual P3 system, and they work extremely well. The performance of the 102 is supposed to be up there with the SLK-800A, if not superior to it.

    Well do, I ordered the aero cool last night so it should be here by friday. I might do some testing on my 1600xp and see what the temp difference would be between it and my current cooler. Right now I have it oced from 1400mhz to 1750mghz and I think the max I can get out of it with it being locked is 1800 or so.

    I'm leaning now more towards going with one of the barton mobile cpu's. Figure with the aero cool and low voltages of the mobile it would be like a water cooled system.

    go for a mobile barton at newegg, there might be some unlocked ones left and at the least they are good overclocking chips.

    PQZFA:0347MPMW ...supposedly all processors after week 40 are locked ...this would be week 47 so I wouldn't count on it being unlocked.
    Whatever you buy keep in mind that there is supposed to be a price drop on processors today.

    It's unlocked if you get down and dirtay with the L5 bridges.

    Make them look like this:
    L5> . | | : |

    Then you'll have multi control.

    I heard you have to have a via or sis chipset to do that and what it does it turn it in to a mobile chip.
