[BLOG] Making your own Twitter client

Well, it's the new rage. It really is. I'm off and on again interested in it, so I figured. What the hell, write your own client...

That's what I'm doing, using this as an opportunity to do something fun AND learn a new skill (<3 Python so far).

Hopefully I'll keep everything up to date and include screens next time

    There are a bunch of twitter libraries - are you going to use one of them or go from scratch with the twitter API?

    I'm actually using the google provided python-twitter library at the moment. I've thought about using the raw twitter API, but decided against it as there are already quite a few well written libraries (as you mention). Couple that with the idea that I'm also just learning Python GUI interfaces (using TKinter at the moment until I get un-lazy about the ordeal and feel like using something else). I'd like to keep the learning of new procedure to a minimum.
