Plants are especially nice because they don't move:

Blossom on our cherry tree:

Last couple are back when I was using the 50+extension tubes, hence the extreme DOF.
Edit: forgot we weren't on bbcode. Old habits die hard.

@Snarkasm - can I have a high res version of that burner? I really (really) like it.

So @marushka and I went camping and it gave me a chance to try out the macro lens, as well as my new tripod:

    this was a cool plant:

    then we played with fire:

seriously, that plant was really cool, so I went back and took more pictures:

then I decided I'd push the macro lens and see how stable the new tripod was (close-up of moss):

slightly zoomed out for a bit of context (more DOF would probably be a bit better)

This makes me want to pick up my camera for the first time in 7 months. Granted, I haven't because I was busy dealing with babby and floods.

I modified my beyerdynamic DT880 Pro's on the weekend, to take them from single sided entry to dual entry and got rid of that coiled cable which I never liked. Here are a few closeup's of the Rean Tiny xlr connectors and cable ends.

Not as purdy as flowers though, and I barely dabble in photography...
