a 360 DAY TRIAL? Holy crap! That's almost as good as a free full version!
That does it. It's a64 time for me.....
I've got a 64bit system, so I have something to try this on... been trying to get it from MSDN. but their download manager has been knackered..
Thanks EQ!
regular cats will not install in XP-64.
i also had problems installing some apps, (media encoder 9 , pcmark etc...)
its getting there...its getting there
Tex
It took 20 minutes to download the iso on comcast cable? I thought a t1 was way faster then cable/dsl ?
Tex
Comcast cable: 4mb bandwidth
T1 Line: 1.5mb bandwidth
T1s are faster upstream (you get 1.5mb upstream as well), as cable is usually only 128k or 256k upstream.
A clean simple explanataion. Thanks. Cable is for surfing and T1's for hosting. I get it now. (grin)

Now I just need to get my hands on an AMD64.

or

u will find some drivers there
And I had heard that win2k3 had a better scheme for using the 64bit AMD memory controller thing and my sandra memory bandwidth is in the 3000 range on XP and the 4500 range with 64bit win2k3 if anyone cares.

Geez just flashed the bios to a new version and made sure that I had interleaving enabled and just rolled a 5130 now in the sandra memory benchmark and this is still using the old 32bit version of sandra not the 64bit version.
5130 with reg ecc pc2100 memory? Thats absurd folks. Sandra says teh same memory in my msi k7d would roll a 573 not a 5130 if thats a clue.
Tex
Anyone got anti-virus software running on this yet?
Not only do they not have one they said they had no plans to ever introduce 64bit driver versions at this time. Crap I don't see Creative offering drivers either so....
I guess I have to go buy a friggin realtek sound card ? Good grief...
Tex
I said, I would NEVER buy another Microsoft Product again, but I didn't say I wouldn't use anything FREE from Microsoft....
Looks like I am gonna be missing lab tonight!
Thanks guys.... this site is too good for me
Can I just use the Floppies with the windows XP drivers on them to install? Or do I need to use/do something else?
They had a few sata drivers in one of the links above.
