Hey, if someone wants to help me buy those Dual Tualatins, I will provide everything else we need for a new dual folding rig. I have the mobo, ram, case, everything else. I'll chip in $50 for the processors, but I need someone else to kick in the rest. It can be SM22 or SM23... Anybody?

Just to quash doubts, those tulatins are beasts. They will fold like monsters. I venture to say it MIGHT be the top producing rig with two of them in there.

I can second that they do tear it up at folding. Thats what there doing until thursday night when the system get tore down and the parts shipped.

Bad news, though:

I just realized that I have non-dual compatible slotket convertors for my Asus P2B-DS board that I'm sending along.

I looked up compatibility charts and it looks like Asus makes the good ones (Asus 370-133DL), but they are like $50 each.

Sounds pretty shady if you ask me.... I don't trust ghetto mods. It's from the same company that I just linked, and the price brand new is $29.99 for the single processor ones and $49.99 for the dual processor ones.

I dunno... I've always used powerleap converters in the past, and they work excellently, but they come with the processors - you can't buy them without the procs installed. THe thing is, they have onboard VRUs and are pretty beefy. The one that you linked doesn't have any VRU so it might not work. I know the Asus P2B-DS is a very picky board about this - you have to use a beta bios (already flashed on this board) and whatnot, but I guess for $20 we can give it a shot....
