Not to be a butthurt professional shill or anything, but what they don't tell you is that all of that can be done on the CPU... except they've crippled the PhysX library to run single-threaded on one CPU core to artificially inflate the apparent value of GPU physics. TWIMTBP indeed.
At E3 2011, I think Brian and I heard "PhysX" about 1,500 times in the 20 minutes or so we were in the nVidia booth. They're definitely still hanging things pretty heavily on that well-worn coathook.

I certainly agree, but this is the way of the world :/
Going to have to actually ask for computer money for my birthday (few days before this comes out) and upgrade from my GTS450 to a GTX550/560. Though I got a feeling my biggest issue is going to be all the rest of my old computer parts.
