PSA -- Icrontic Represent

When Guild Wars 2 goes live my first coin will be sent forming the guild. As soon as I have the guild formed I will be inviting everyone I have on my friends list. If you do not get an invite or believe you are not on my friends list send me an invite mail or forum message with your active character name (First/Last/Self Given Title/etc).

Once you are in the guild make sure that you are "representing". The guild only gains experience (which I believe to be called renown) when its members are representing it. The more renown we get the more upgrades I can buy. Upgrades mean more successful experience gain, crafting, as well as vanity bonuses.

I have a decent idea of who I will promote to officer to help with keeping the guild upgrading at all times as well as helping with member management. However, could all people who were officers in the Icrontic WoW guild send me a forum message; it will not guarantee or obligate you as an officer in this guild but there may be some correlation.

Lastly,

See you all soon.

I was not an officer, but was a class leader in my previous WoW guild. You may want someone "more dedicated" than I will be, but I'm not sure how much time I'll be dedicating at this point. Trying to not get hella sucked in, especially since I may be moving to a new city as this is going down.
  • I would also fancy an invite. Thanks =)

I am currently fighting with oh, I don't know how many other people for the name so I don't know if I'll get it or not.

Edit: When I have my name I will immediately post it in the server thread.

I've already got a list of names, just going to make a character for each name I've set up then play em as I feel.

Also an invite to the guild would be brilliant.
  • trooster89trooster89 Are you from London? Icrontian
Awesome! Is there a thread yet that has everyone's usernames for GW2? I never had time to play the beta so I don't have much of a friends list.
  • IlriyasIlriyas The Syrupy Canadian Toronto, Ontario Icrontian
I don't think so, perhaps we should get on that for convenience sake.
  • Perhaps we should wait until we're guaranteed those names. Once the game goes live we'll have a username thread. Until then we need to hold off.

I've never seen another Teramona, so I'm pretty sure I'm good for that.

I've noticed a slight increase in "Rahnal" over the years, and if I remember right I wasn't the first "Rahnal" for GuildWars2. We shall see.

Everyone is guaranteed to get the name they want to play with above their heads. GW2 affixes a 4-digit suffix at the database level to differentiate two characters with the same name. If both of those characters occupy the same zone/server, you'll see the 4-digit suffix in chat.

I remember that. I just liked it more when my name was somewhat unique. I say somewhat cause apparently the name I made up actually is an Indian word/name. But it's just a little gripe of no significance.

This is not true actually. This is only correct on the forums. Character names are unique as has been the case in all the BWEs up to this point.

They have also been talking about name reserving which would not be the case if this 4-digit business applied in game.

Maybe @Thrax is confusing the way it should be with the way it is?
  • I'd rather not have 20 different people with the same name running around. #internetfame
