Thanks guys. Today was busy as hell at work, so I just now jumped on to write about it and saw you guys beat me to it.
So I've actually been working for SEGA for almost 4 weeks now. After THQ died, the CoH community blitzed SEGA's twitter feed by replying to them and telling them to hire me. There was over 80 tweets from community members to SEGA, and it actually worked. SEGA hired me and three of my THQ marketing colleagues to see CoH2 through to launch.
So we've just been waiting for clearance to post an announcement about me returning to CoH and things like that. The approval process took a long time, mostly because this is our first post-THQ announcement and SEGA wanted to make sure everything was in line. So as of this afternoon, I was officially able to announce what I've been dying to say for weeks.
This is crazy for me. SEGA was my favorite company as a kid - I always dreamed of working for them. You know I'm a Sonic the Hedgehog nut... this whole thing is nuts for me. I'm pretty darn happy to have this opportunity.
My employment is temporary, though. There's no relocation or anything, the four of us are working remote from LA with frequent trips to San Francisco for meetings. We're here to basically help with launch, and after that, we're done. I highly doubt I'll be staying at SEGA post-CoH2 for numerous reasons, but this gives me a great chance to finish the game that I love while having time to figure out where I go next.
Oh man, every time I see that logo. @Lincoln, can we get a mouseover SEEEEGAAAA sound effect on Bobby's username?

That's great news dude! Any pay is good pay at this point and I'm glad to hear that you're somewhere you enjoy (for however long), all while seeing something through that you've obviously had a passion for. Great stuff, man!
