Cool. What does your version do, though?

    Not much really...
I just added the newest/faster/more reliable SATA bios v4.2.47 to the existing bios, that's all... :D

Harkens back to the day of EQuito's KT7 BIOS releases at the old Icrontic. Ah... good times.

Hey, what the hell am I talking about? I hate those damned boards! In fact, I gave two of them away last Christmas as gag gifts, and literally broke one over my knee just a few weeks ago. Those things caused me more grief from more customers.... :banghead:

But EQuito's BIOS releases were cool, none-the-less. I mean, all those BIOSes, all those RAID controller updates, all those modified graphics...

And all because people were too damned lazy to use CBROM. :rolleyes2

I'm sorry. I'm just annoyed right now because of my own idiotic computer problem. Carry on! :thumbup

LOL or they didn't know how to use it or they were too afraid to use it... :D
I still enjoy it none the less.
Yeah, good old times. Cheers bud!

guess i was lucky, as i never experienced any problems from the KT7 series other than faulty capacitors that i replace myself. i even used sound blaster live cards in'em as well.

    You're welcome!
It's an official release fron 2/9/04, it came straight from SiliconImage website http://12.24.47.40/userSetSession.asp?c=12&cpc=ULwO0A442oKs512Q04X5i0UupP4SveI6dt2WJi7&cid=2&t=
Click where it says "To enter portal, click here" and navigate to the downloads drivers section on the left
I can't give you a direct link because they don't allow it, their website sucks!

btw: the download page here should be updated with the official SATA driver v.10040

They've been up in there pretty much since ASUS made them available. Unless you mean the ones that has been recently put up on the Silicon Image website? I presumed there was no difference between those ones and the ones originally made available. Can you clarify?

    Thanks mate.

I meant the download page shows them as unofficial so they should be labeled official now and perhaps replaced with the official file even though they're the same.
