TIL that even in a one city challenge, when you take an allied city back, it reverts to the original owner instead of razing the city. Ein Berliner is back in German control, although it's looking a bit nukey.
That's just the jelly filling. Don't worry about it; here, eat another!
@PirateNinja, if you move your fleet up north, you can help bombard Osaka, intercept bombers, and pick off embarked units. However, a fleet of subs just appeared you'll need to take care of, first.
@Basil, if you can nuke Osaka again this turn or next (when you have two nukes), I'll move the rest of my X-COM in and try to take it. If @GHoosdum or @PirateNinja have X-COM or nukes to help out with a final push on Osaka, that'd be awesome (just don't land your X-COM within a 2 hex range of Osaka until @Basil's nukes are spent our you'll be collateral damage).

We may be defeated, but we're not extinct!
The Germans seem to have lost their taste for war.
We win! Nothing else that happened previously matters!
CB has acquired a taste for leather since we last saw him.
How 'bout them Russians?
oh.
Where were they hiding that navy?
(I would also accept screw that boat in particular)
For posterity:
I used the western missile cruiser to destroy the enemy battleship, moved my other cruiser away from the subs then nuked them all.
