Hey folks! I love finding bargains. In fact it's a hobby of mine. So if you need help, I'll be glad to. If I can't find a bargain on it, I don't buy it, so I'm always looking!
Yeah, folding (eventually) but at the moment I just need some functioning HDs for a couple of systems. I have tons of old HDs but they're all trashed. Probably should throw them awa but I have a difficult time putting computer stuff in the garbage.

Take them apart and play with the magnets in the drives...that's fun.
$6 doesn't seem too bad, but not knowing the brand of the drive sucketh. I hate quantum drives. Never had a samsung but if they make drives like they make TVs I don't want one.
I thought Samsung made Quantum? At any rate, the two drives I've got in the parts bin are both WD, they just need to be verified. $6 a gig seems pricey to me...

Oh, that's right, MAXTOR makes Quantum... I don't really like Maxtor much either... WD is the way to go for me (unless the Maxtor is the 60GB I bought for $20 AR...)

Guy: I was just wondering if you've had a chance to check to see if those HDs still work? No rush, if you haven't gotten to it yet, don't drop anything, just do it when you have the time. Thanks.

Yeah, I have kind of noticed that as a theme to your posts in the "HMFAD" forum...
Yeah, well you can find some good stuff on there...
Like a lightly used K7D Master-L for $160 shipped in the retail box with all the accessories
I'll check on 'em and get back to you.
